I’d like to wish all visitors a Merry Christmas, a great and peaceful time with your beloved ones and a Happy New Year. Also, I’d like to thank you for visiting and contributing throughout the year. It’s very appreciated. Thank you. To celebrate the last days of the year and Simply Streep’s last update of 2014, I have a Christmas surprise for all visitors. Five of Meryl’s classic performances – The Deer Hunter, The French Lieutenant’s Woman, Sophie’s Choice, Out of Africa and Ironweed – have been re-capped from Blu-Ray, so they’re in brilliant quality and a vast improvement to the earlier DVD captures. Especially “Ironweed” has been released in much better quality. And as always, a Year in Review has been written with all the key moments of 2014 reviewed. So, enjoy the new captures, enjoy your Holidays (in case you live in the US, don’t forget to see “Into the Woods”) and see you all in 2015. Frederik.
