A sequel to the 2006 hit, reuniting original director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna with the film's original cast. The storyline reportedly follows Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She faces off against Emily (Emily Blunt), her one-time assistant who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs. It’s not clear how Stanley Tucci's character Nigel and Anne Hathway’s Andy Sachs will factor into the story; at the end of the first film, Andy quits Runway and takes a job at a newspaper.
