Yale Repertory Theatre Q&A

February 18, 2014 | New Haven, USA

Fresh off the plane from a press tour in Paris to promote her movie “August: Osage County,” Meryl Streep made a brief stop at Yale, and while on campus, gave a talk to the School of Drama community at the Yale Repertory Theatre. The celebrated actress paid homage to the Yale Rep stage where she had performed while a student here, saying that she was overwhelmed to be back. In an informal question-and-answer format, Streep spoke candidly to the audience members who listened to her stories and advice with rapt attention. In her almost two-hour talk, Streep discussed topics such as how has she evolved as an actress over the years, how she chooses her roles, how technology has changed movie-making, and how she has found balance in her career and her home life. Unfortunately, the conversation has not been made public.
