Golden Globe Award for her performance in "Music of the Heart", along with Annette Bening (American Beauty), Julianne Moore
(The End of the Affair), Hilary Swank (Boys Don't Cry) and Sigourney Weaver (A Map
of the World)
Meryl to appear and sing at Karen Silkwood tribute

Meryl Streep is sheduled to sing "Amazing Grace" Friday during a 25th
anniversary commemoration of the death of Karen Silkwood. Ms. Streep played the
title role in the 1983 movie, "Silkwood" and sang "Amazing Grace" in the film.
Proceeds from the tribute - which also
features appearances by folk singer Toshi Reagon, the film's director Mike Nichols
and Ms. Silkwood's father Bill - benefit the Just Health Care Campaign, a
union-sponsored health-care reform program.

Meryl Streep attends the Venice Film Festival to promote her new movie "50 Violins",
which was now renamed to "Music of the Heart". The drama has it's world premiere in
Venice and will release in cinemas this fall.

Berlinale Kamera, an award to personalities to whom the Berlin International Film
