This exceptional documentary on the making of "The House of the Spirits" exclusively aired on German television in October 1993. The translated German title refers to a quote by Isabel Allende at the film's press conference, praising the art direction of the film, saying it was "better than my own house ever was". The documentary, including lots of footage from behind the scenes, featured interviews with the whole cast and crew. The documentary was included on a re-release of "The House of the Spirits" DVD in Germany in March 2009.
