I have just seen the movie and have to say I’m speechless. It was amazing and Meryl has given the greatest performance of her career.

Well done Meryl. You definitely deserve the third Oscar. Fingers crossed and all the best to the future. Just admire you. x

Just seen the film & it is great, Meryl is absolutely BRILLIANT in it, she is simply the best.

I saw ‘The Iron Lady’ today – in three consecutive shows (the lady who sold me the tickets did give me a funny look when I said that the tickets were all for me!).

As many critics have testified, Meryl has generated arguably the best performance of her career. I was overwhelmingly awe-struck and mesmerised by her monumental performance. I think the film is so embroiled in the politics of Thatcherism that it is not seen as a piece of art in its own right, and given the credit it deserves. I saw it as a film, with the politics as the backdrop, and I think it is a rather moving film about devotion, ambition, old age, and loss.

All credit to Meryl for giving such a towering performance. Glenn Close (in ‘Albert Nobbs’) is widely considered Meryl’s closest competitor for an Oscar. I haven’t seen Close’s film yet, but I hope Meryl is given the third Oscar that she so richly deserves, though I adore Glenn Close too.

Bravo, Meryl, for such a layered, moving, and nuanced performance. I salute you!

I have just seen ” The Iron Lady ” and I believe that Ms Streep has performed one of the greatest acts of her life. i was moved by her portrayal of not only Margaret Thatcher but of someone of old age, I really am quite speechless by this performance and if she doesn’t pick up a Best Actress Osca than there is something seriously wrong. I have never contributed anything to any blog before but i just had to say something…one of the most amazing pieces of acting I think I have ever seen.

I have just seen pictures and now I am really sorry I missed the premiere ;( Meryl is really beautiful and she reveal human being at the pictures. Wish to see her one day too. Go on Meryl you are the best xx

She is absolutely beautiful, and so graceful and humble. Her smile and laugh is positively captivating, and she always says and does the right thing. A truly wonderful person and fantastic actress.
