I’m just so anxious to see the full trailer IN THE THEATER! I know it’s a month away, but seeing Meryl up on the big screen will help make the time pass faster (maybe?).

Fear not, Steven. Meryl doesn’t require alot of pre-movie buzz, because she’s the best actress in the world. The movie will get plenty of attention on time for the awards season. I guarantee she will be nominated again for Best Actress (and I have a strong hunch she will win the Oscar this season). Keeping my fingers crossed!

I agree with Steven. This “under-the-radar” tactic, while shrewd, has run its course. The time for an official trailer is now. Viola Davis currently stands as the frontrunner for the 2012 Best Actress Oscar. She excels in “The Help” and would merit the trophy. But as a Streep fan, I’m dyed in the wool. I’d love for Meryl to earn Oscar #3. To Meryl’s people: start rebuilding buzz for this project. Strike while the “Iron” is hot.

I find the “buzz” on “The Iron Lady” is much too quiet while the other “award contenders” are certainly making a lot of noise. Releasing a still picture every few weeks, without a full trailer, is not helping the film’s chances, critically or commercially.
