The Academy’s A Life in Pictures events celebrate the art of film, exploring major and distinctive contributions to the artistic development of the film form by BAFTA winners or nominees. This very special strand enables an audience to hear first-hand from a creative force in the industry. Previous focuses have included Anthony Minghella, Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, The Coen Brothers, Alfonso CuarĂ³n and many more. This on-stage interview with Meryl Streep, including clips from her work, has been a rare chance to hear Streep talk in depth about her remarkable career. Tickets were like gold dust, but the event is being broadcast live at selected Picturehouse and Everyman cinemas.
