Better late than never, added pictures of Meryl attending the The Public Theater & Labyrinth Theater Company’s “Othello” Opening Night on September 20. 

The video archive has been modified for the new layout and has been made more functionable and easier on the eye. Also, two new clips from the 1990s have been added with many thanks to Bruno for finding them and letting me add them to the archives. First, a report from the British film programme “The Big Picture” on “She-Devil”. Then, a French report on Meryl leaving her handprints at the Mann’s Chinese Theatre in 1994.

With many thanks to Bruno for bringing this online, Meryl’s appearance on the French talkshow Vivement Dimanche (September 13) can be now watched in the video archive in two parts, captures have been added to the Image Library. Enjoy!

Welcome to the latest version of Simply Streep! I wasn’t all too content with the previous layout in celebration of the site’s 10th anniversary and Meryl’s 60th birthday, so I worked behind the scenes to give the site a new – still classic, yet better look! I hope you all like it! The Biography section is back (with many thanks to Pam for her help!) and there’s an open-call at the Fan Art section to contribute your creations for its coming opening. The Image Library and Video Archive will be converted to the new layout in the coming days as well. Feel free to comment on the new look and enjoy your stay!

The New York Philharmonic held their opening night gala concert yesterday and actors Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin, as well as singer Billy Joel, were among the many guests to attend. Pictures can be found in the Image Library.

In the past days there have been lots of new interviews with Meryl and Stanley Tucci on their European tour to promote “Julie & Julia”. Added a couple more pictures from the Deauville Film Festival, including a stunning photoshoot that was made before the film’s gala premiere. Also added pictures of Meryl taping an appearance on the French talkshow “Vivement Dimanche”, which is going to air this Sunday (see the Calendar for more information). Two clips from the Deauville Film Festival have been added to the video archive – a very funny interview with Meryl and Stanley Tucci on eating (thanks Tina) as well as a video from the press conference for “Julie & Julia”.

Meryl has attended today’s photocall at the Deauville Film Festival to promote “Julie & Julia”. She’s accompanied by director Nora Ephron and co-stars Stanley Tucci and Chris Messina as well as Tucci. The first pictures from the photocall have been added to the Image Library.
