Fantastic news according to Exhibitor Relations. The US theatrical release of “Great Hope Springs” has been moved from December 14th to August 10th. Starring Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones, and Steve Carell, the David Frankel-directed dramedy follows an older couple as they try to work out their marriage with a weekend of couple’s counseling; Carell will play “the marriage therapist who tries to help rekindle their loveless relationship.” A Summer movie to look forward to.

Yeah that’s soo cool!! :)
I’m in the US in August, so I’ll finally get to see a Meryl movie right away and for once won’t have do wait months (still waiting for The Iron Lady to open – in March^^)
Does anyone know whether the US premiere is on the 10th or is that when it opens nationwide?

Most interesting date for this production on wich I have tremendous faith given it´s genre and the actors which are part of this production we could already feel we´ll have a great deal of laughter given the great cast: Streep, Jones and Carrell who´s versatility is beyond imagination, anything can happen with him, all this directed by the outstanding directorDavid Frankel, whom I can say, I take my hat over him for his compelling job, when you compare The Devil wears Prada which is a masterpiece with such a different movie such as Marley and Me, I mean His work has such a compelling view, so wonderfully concevied
