This year’s honorees for distinguished achievement are television journalist Andrea Mitchell, Chilean writer Isabel Allende, Nobel Prize-winning researcher Dr. Stanley Prusiner, Academy Award-winning actress Meryl Streep and America’s leading advocate for people with paralysis, Christopher Reeve.
