Unfortunately, Meryl has been a no-show at this year’s Golden Globe Awards. As mentioned by hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in their opening speech, “Meryl Streep is not here tonight. She she has the flu. And I hear she’s amazing in it”. The Golden Globe for Best Actress Drama went to Jennifer Lawrence. The presentation by Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig was beyond funny and made up for Meryl (or Mariel) not being there. The Best Actress segment can be watched in the video archive.

What a disappointment that we won’t be seeing our Meryl tonight…..
I’ve looked forward to it all week long….
Now I’ll just wish her a speedy recovery!
And at least we all know it’ll be worth the wait when we see her in all her glory at next month’s Oscars!
Get well soon, Meryl!!
