Meryl Streep and former co-stars Kevin Kline and Peter MacNichol made a surprising appearance on Tuesday night at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art 40th anniversary screening of “Sophie’s Choice”. Surprising, because the film released in December of 1982, so the celebration is a bit behind but not one bit less deserving. After 40 years (or 42 by now), Sophie Zawistowska remains Meryl’s eminent screen role that keeps her high on the lists of best acting performances of all time. Pictures from the event have been added to the photo gallery.
