A first clip of Meryl Streep portraying Emmeline Pankhurst in “Suffragette” has been released. In the brief clip, which also features Suffragette’s leading lady Carey Mulligan, Pankhurst speaks from the balcony to a large group of followers about equality, saying, “We don’t want to be lawbreakers, we want to be lawmakers”. The clip can be found in the video archive. Many thanks to Joan for the heads-up.
