Yesterday, Meryl introduced Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, director and writer of the film “A Separation,” at the 84th Annual Academy Awards’ Foreign Language Film Award Directors Reception in Beverly Hills. Pictures from the event have been added to the image library.

Here comes a fantastic treat for the image library – the German “Zeit Magazin” (February 23 issue, now on newsstands) has an in-depth article on Meryl’s and Brigitte Lacombe’s collaboration throughout the years, featuring an array of stunning pictures. Seriously, I’m going to write this every time there’s an update related to Brigitte Lacombe – hopefully one day she’ll publish a book with just pictures of Meryl! Enjoy the scans :-)

Many additional pictures have been added to the Berlinale galleries. The reception of the Honorary Golden Bear took place between the film’s premiere and the screening of “The Iron Lady”. Jury member and presenter Jake Gyllenhaal, who has been a childhood friend of Meryl’s son, shared some funny stories about how strict Meryl was as a mother, before handing her the award. Video clips from all events will be added later today, including the press conference, the awards ceremony and various interviews from German television. Check back later!

Meryl has been in Germany to attend the Berlin International Film Festival, or Berlinale in short. Together with director Phyllida Lloyd and co-star Jim Broadbent, she has attended a photocall and premiere for “The Iron Lady”. Before the screening started, Meryl was awarded with the Honorary Golden Bear for her exceptional career. Over 300 pictures have been added to the image library. Yesterday, Meryl has attended a pre-Bafta Dinner, hosted by Charles Finch and Chanel. Pictures from the event have been added to the image library, as well as a couple of additional pictures of last year’s press junket for “The Iron Lady” in New York.

Also this week, on February 05, Meryl has attended a special screening of “The Iron Lady”, hosted by the Screen Actors Guild. After attending yesterday’s Oscar luncheon, Meryl was a guest at the AARP’s 11th Annual Movies for Grownups Awards Gala in Beverly Hills, where she accepted the award for Best Grownup lovestory, shared with her “The Iron Lady” co-star Jim Broadbent.
